My graphics cards gets interference by my new ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card. HELP!!!

I just got my PCI sound card from newegg yesterday. And I was really like the music sound quality with this sound card. But, while I play games like Battlefield 3 and Shogun 2 total war? OMG, the FPS gets really low and games don't run smooth. I thought it was just drives problem. I reinstall the graphics card's drive. Problem did not solved. And then I tried reinstall the windows 7. Everything reinstalled but the problem still. I unplugged sound card, And then games run smooth what they use to be. Please help!!!
My computer configuration:
EVGA X79 FTW motherboard
2X4GB DDR3 1600
[GIGABYTE GTX 770 4GB]
CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650W PSU.
[ASUS Xonar Essence STX Sound card]

I just tried. Disabled onboard sound in the BIOS and uninstall nvidia sound driver. but did not solved. Thank you anyway.

My problem has been solved. Some ppl on EVGA forum told me plug it in PCIEX16 slot and I did. Now my games run smooth and sound performance is perfect. Thank you again.

I was plugged it in 1x slot. and now plugged it in x16 slot and problem solved. Played bf3, shogun 2 and run the 3dmark. All result as good as used to be.
