The HD 7950 and GTX 760 are the best cards for under 300$.

GTX 760 based cards usually perform a bit better at stock because they run at higher clock speeds.
They can use things like Geforce Experiance and Shadowplay.

The HD 7950 on the other hand is clocked lower at stock but has a lot of overclocking potential.
An overclocked HD 7950 is faster than a GTX 770!
The HD 7950 is geared towards high resolution gaming and also uses a bit less power than the GTX 760.

yes you had to reintall your windows but if your games are intalled in c or where you keep your windows than you lose all games and if you keep savegames your game data will not be lost.
most of savegames goes in documents
and your pc and card is perfect you dont need to upgrade !
remember to choose best solution !!!

GPU will always be the greater factor in terms of gaming. you have a very capable CPU, upgrade the GPU because your current one doesn't have the power anymore to max out all modern games in 1080p in good framerates. I'll suggest you get atleast a GTX 660 or if you have the budget, go to gtx760, 770 etc

I can hardly understand what Hassaan was saying... regardless of your decision to purchase a graphics card or a motherboard/CPU combo, you will not lose anything nor will you have to install your OS again. Like Aeronautics said, your GPU is most-likely what you need to upgrade if you're wanting to game. After doing some research on your current components, your CPU is solid enough to sustain you during MMO gaming. Your GPU is dated and would be what you'd want to replace. Next, you're going to need to decide what your budget is.
