This seems to be an unlogical problem but it is real!

I am new in this eventhough I am pretty known in the CPU+GPU hardware (show off  ).

So just a or two weeks (I believe) ago I built a secondary PC consisting of these hardware. I Do not want to go above $250 for this one so I just pretty much cheap out parts :p .

A4-5300
Biostar Hifi A55S3
Apacer 4GB 10600 PCDDR3 Memory
LG DVD-RW
WD 160GB
eXtreme 500W PSU
And just some no-name branded Case

The build cost $220 with speaker+mouse+keyboard it is about $250.

However the problem is indeed very very strange! I am sure the HDD has 160GB of space in it, it is clearly written on the label. But When I installed windows, I take the partition on to 3 drives which are 50, 50 and 60GB...

But then after I booted off windows normally (installation is successful without any problem) I saw only C and D drives which are both ~48.8GB in capacity? I don't see the E drive which is supposed to be ~60GB! That means I lost 60GB of space??!!

So any answer guys? This is just totally horrorific!

Pilot error.. you did it wrong...
Go to the storage management consol and see what you have and see where you F*#ked up ;)

Cheers
P.S. 160GB drive - you wont get 160GB.. PC will report at about 149GB. (google it of you want understand why),

2^10 vs 10^3.

You most likely didn't format your 60GB partition properly.

Yeah my partition seems to not go correctly thank you :) .

I knew about 10^3 vs 2^10 on hard drives...
