overclocking rams on h87 motherboards

Hello i am constructing my haswell build, the specs are:-
intel core i7 4770
asrock h87 pro 4 mobo

I want to install a 4 gb 2000MHz ram on this mobo, will it be possible to get 2000MHz. Its written in the specs of the mobo that intel xmp is suppourted which is for overclocking memory i think so may a xmp ready 2000MHz ram do the job?

You can't make it to 2000MHZ, from what I read, here is from asrock: Supports DDR3 1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory.

Yes you can OC the CPU by updating the BIOS, but you can't OC the RAM by now but maybe later when the company make the BIOS for OC the RAM.

I just built a setup using this same motherboard. I went with 2400 RAM, hoping to boost the onboard video a bit. Sadly, the motherboard will not allow any RAM speed higher than 1600. It does give you full capability to play with the voltage and timing settings, though.

I haven't looked to see if the bclk can be changed to go higher, but I really doubt it.

The latest BIOS update did enable some processor overclocking settings, which I haven't tried. (stock intel heatsink)
