Hey everyone next week I start my new pc build and palm off my old one, problem is I have a tonne of steam games and 3 non steam games that I bought the cd for but do not have anymore those games are afma 2 and arma 2 ao plus bf3 not to mention long hours spent on progress and profile saves which I do not want to loose so how do I go about moving all the non steam games plus the espically the days ones which I use dayzcommander and also all the steam ones without needing to use 100's gig internet download to reinstall them all and no can't move the hdds as the new one is real higher performance

If you are suggesting that you want to move your games from one HDD to another, while also installing a new OS, I'm not sure if that's possible or I at least wouldn't recommend it. Surely you don't need to DL all your games at once? Just install what you want to play.

As for your profiles and saves, they can usually be backed up and moved around. Most games store them in C:\Users\My Documents\Games I believe. Others can usually be found in the directory that the game was installed in.

EDIT: I suppose it is possible to move Steam games. All you really have to do is backup your Seamapps folder (located in C:\Program files(X86)\Steam\common\steamapps). Install Steam on your new HDD where you want your games, and move your steamapps folder tot he new install directory. Steam SHOULD recognize all your games w/o having to dl again.

Probably but I would get confirmation from Steam support. Personally, I would try to buy disks first if they are available. You can associate disk installed games with your Steam account at any time.
