Bad caps on Dell XPS 420 motherboard

Over time my xps became more and more reluctant to startup after being powered off for a few hours. Finally a few weeks ago, it gave up the ghost. I bought another power supply at best buy and swapped it out. While I was in the case I went ahead and upgraded the ram to 8 gb and threw in a 1tb hd so I could upgrade to win 8 w/o having to mess with reformatting my vista drive. While reconnecting wires and cleaning out the case I realized that a couple of caps in the middle of the board were bulging and oozing a bit. A few others in the same area are ever so slightly beginning to bulge. So, as a long time Dell user, who supports Dell at work, I am very familiar with the bad caps on the 270's and 280's from a few years back. We replaced, under warranty, nearly every board at my company. Unfortunately this is my own machine and it is long out of warranty. It's not dead yet, but the writing is on the wall. So, your advice please? What should I do, try to find someone to solder on new caps? (The first guy I asked fled screaming in terror, he wouldn't take the job) I know it is something I am technically incapable of personally. Should I remove the board and sent it to badcaps.net for them to replace them all? Should I buy a new MB? If so, where to get, and can I upgrade processor or am I stuck with original processor? Any advice, suggestions, or solutions would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Solution
Junk it. It is not worth fixing. Decide on how much you want to spend and build one yourself.

1) Buy bare PC case (mid-tower fits ATX and micro-ATX size Mobos) (mini-tower fits micro-ATX size mobos) - $ 50
2) Motherboard - $50 and up
3) CPU - $50 and up
4) memory - $35 and up
5) DVD drive - $20
6) video card - $25 and up
7) power supply - $40 and up
8) hard drive
9) Windows DVD software

It is all depending now on your budget, I can find you replacement motherboard if you are really tight on $$.

I can not guarantee quality, Dell TP406 Xps 420 Motherboard $74.99 Free Shipping http://www.ascendtech.us/dell-tp406-xps-420-motherboard_i_mb4755delltp406.aspx check their return policy just in case, the rest of retailers have higher price (around $145), and eBay might have the same junk.

If you have money to spend - build a new one.
