Hey guys! About a year and a half ago I came up with a rig that I was happy with with your guys' help. I ended up not getting the rig due to money reasons so I shelved the project. Now I'm pulling it back out again and I want to know if my parts are still up to date or if there are parts/cases that have come out since that are better for around the same price. I want my total build price to be around $1500

One more thing. I've been reading online that motherboards and graphics cards have been getting smaller and gamers have been moving to smaller cases. If there are any good small cases for instance the bitfenix prodigy that you guys like that can put out the performance of the build above please let me know

Modified the SSD and GPU for better bang-for-the-buck, but you are in good shape. If you wanted to make up for the additional cost, you can replace the Noctua with a Hyper 212 EVO...

EDIT: Basically I changed your graphics card, improved that 1TB HDD to 2TB, changed the SSD, and cut back on the cooler.

The cooler can be improved, to the noctua one if that is what you want.

I do NOT recommend Haswell. The CPUs heat way more than an ivy bridge. Overclocking is absolutely NOT recommended on an Haswell, as the heat produced is ridiculously high.

The MSI version of the GTX770 is supposedly the best, having better cooling and producing less noise.
