Cooler Master V850 over the Corsair TX850M.

Cooler Master V-series V850 (RS-850-AFBA-G1) uses Seasonic as the OEM.

Hi - I almost never recommend CM PSU's, but the one you linked is a
Seasonic built unit. I'd go for the deal & grab it.

Gold efficiency - haswell compatible.

I'd buy the Corsair as well, hands down.

Clearly, the V850. The V series from Cooler Master perform equal to or better than the HX series from Corsair. The TX is not of the same caliber as the V850.

Blanket statements like these are seldom right.

The Corsair is the better choice. In general, Corsair PSUs are superior to those produced by CM.

Regardless, both will more than meet your needs.

This is untrue. The V850 is vastly superior to the TX850. Do some research before spreading misinformation.

In general, but not in this instance.

Regardless, both will more than meet your needs.

I've been wrong before. Seems like the COOLERMASTER V850 is a pretty good PSU.
Thanks for taking the time to correct us, guys.

Hi - the three CM V-series are probably the only CM PSU's I'd
recommend.

Also, if you go through the Newegg app or the mobile site and checkout with Google wallet and use the promo code "Wallet". This will make the V850 only $15 more than the TX!

Same here. Personally, I use Seasonic PSUs exclusively and tend to stay away from CM PSUs (as a company, their performance is rather spotty in this regard).

In this case, however, this offering has all the makings of an excellent PSU.

Only Seasonic in my personal builds as well, but I can understand why not everyone appreciates a good PSU. In time, they will :)

Seasonic isn't the only manufacturer of quality PSUs :)

I have been happy with my PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III 750W and Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1200W

Everyone has their own brand preferences :)

I have been a fan of PC Power & Cooling since before they were purchased by OCZ. Their models are compact, efficient, cost effective, and come with a 7 year warranty. Pretty difficult to pickup a comparable Seasonic build at the same price point most of the time.

PC Power & Cooling don't manufacture their own power supply units. They contract that out to their OEMs Win-Tact, Seasonic, Sirtec and Super Flower.

Not all of their models have a 7 Year warranty. There are at least seven models that only have a 5 Year warranty with six of those seven models being made by Seasonic.

I am aware, I said brand preference :) . I was referring to the gold and platinum rated models (Silencer MK III 750, 850, and 1200) that are manufactured by Super Flower (probably should have provided some clarification on this). The Silencer MK II are currently manufactured by Sirtec and the Silencer(the non-Mk variety) as well as the sub 750W Silencer MK III are by Seasonic. The Win-Tack models are the Turbo-cool series.
