I just built this budget system. I picked up the I5 3570k/asus P8z77-v LK MoBo/8 gigs of 1600 ram and the MSI 660 OC. I dont have anything OC'd just all the power saving stuff i could find turned off. I did however make sure XMP is used so my Ram would run at 1600 not 1333 or w.e it was at.
Im not the smartest person in the world with Comps but i do know enough to understand everything. I just got done reading a post were he scored in the 8k's with 3dmark and when i ran my test on this machine i landed in the mid 4k's. Now, he was OC'd on his GPU and not to sure about his CPU. He has the same hardware as far as the I5 and GPU go. Why is it that i scored so much lower than he did with the same hardware. Does his OC help him that much ? Do i have my system running backwards <<<LOL..im just trying to understand why im so far behind and would like to make sure my system is running at its best.
TLDR: We both have the same hardware, he is just OC on his GPU...Why did i score so much lower than he did?
