I was honestly trying to keep it pretty cheap, I have the OS and my monitor will be my TV. If you inteligent minds out there that understand computers could please tell me how this looks running graphics needy games like BF3, and where I could upgrade to make this build as good as possible while keeping the price down. Thanks much!

okay, so I took in your information and this is what I came up with:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core $119.99
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing $29.99
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 ATX AM3+ $69.98
Memory: Corsair XMS 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 $49.99
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $62.98
Video Card: HIS Radeon HD 7850 2GB $159.99
Case: Apex Vortex 3620 ATX Mid Tower $29.99
Power Supply: Corsair 430W ATX12V $22.50
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer $14.99
Total: $537.40

Is there anything else I should change brand wise? or anything I should do to make it as efficient and effective as it can be while staying on the cheaper side?

The graphics card is one of the main things that is needed for gaming. That said, I found this website, http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gigabyte_radeon_7790_oc_2gb_review,18.html, that has most of the decent to high end GPU's out on the market today. In the article it says that the Radeon HD 7790 2GB will achieve about 30 FPS in Battlefield 3.

Why not get your processor down a little bit to FX-6300($120), get a good Cooler Master EVO 212 cooler($29 but can help OC your CPU to 4.3Ghz), using a 970A mobo 'cause 780G/760G chipset is just too weak to handle 125W FX-(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128553, and u may have to use a ATX case too to fit this mobo in).

HD 7790 isn't strong enough and EXPENSIVE. I would go for HD 7850 instead. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131482)

With that graphics card you'll get around 30fps

I'd probably go with the fx-6300 or 6350 instead of the 8 core, you wont need that many cores for gaming. And it's a bit cheaper

Also you cut some corners on the case and powersupply. The case is one thing, it might be junkie but it will work. As for the power supply I've had personal experience with that company it they are AWFUL!!!! That will undoubtedly die in 4 months and when you have them send you a new one they'll give a broken one and then blame it on you (yes that really happened to me)

look into higher a higher quality powersupply look for these brands: xfx, antec, seasonic, corsair, nzxt.

Yep. Should get a 400W PSU not less than $30 to keep stability. I would go for CORSAIR. U would get one corsair 430W by $30.

8 gigs of ram is good but you should get 2 4gig sticks instead of 1 8gig stick, unless you plan on getting a 2nd for 16gigs in the future...which is sort of useless

That would be enough though. But I felt that your HD 7850 seems to be a little expensive.

Do u use pcpartpicker.com to configure your build? I've found out a GTX 650 TI Boost is selling at $109. It performs on par with HD 7850 but will be much cheaper.
