The day before yesterday I got a Zotac GTX 650 Ti Boost, since my previous card was a Sapphire HD 7850 I uninstalled the AMD Catalyst drivers completely and then installed the latest Nvidia GeForce driver (320.49 WHQL), everything's fine but two things are different, one, the boot screen is windowed which isn't a problem and two, when I sign off a user account (I'm using Windows 8 Pro 64bit) to turn off the computer there is a slight delay (about 10-15s) 'till the lock screen shows up and in the very last moments that it's appearing in a sudden flash Windows 8's default lock screen background comes up and then it turns into my background. Same thing happens when I turn on the PC, except for the default background thing, however nothing like that happens when I lock the system (the lcokscreen comes up fast and fine). My guess is that Windows still tries to load AMD's drivers (or something like that) at startup, what do you think?

The rest of my rig:

reinstall the drivers. use a driver cleaner to try and clear out the old amd drivers.

Alright I just wiped out the AMD driver remains using Driver Fusion, the delay is still present although it seems to be smoother, so should I reinstall the Nvidia driver too? and if yes, how exactly? uninstall it first? (again if yes, can Windows detect the VGA after that so I install it again?)

windows will detect, so yes uninstall everything, and then wait for windows to settle down and then install the nvidia drivers.

No need to use Driver Fusion? just uninstall it using Windows? or should I uninstall it first using Windows then wipe the remains using Driver Fusion just like I did for AMD Catalyst?
