The details view of this entry contains further information.

So the details to when this happend are, i was trying to boot starmdae offline ship veiwer, and it wouldnt load my ships, i left it whilst i went to have dinner, and came back to find it hadent loaded, i moved the mouse slightly and all of a sudden restart out of absulutly no where, didnt even shut down, just restarted on the spot, it went down and my keyboard lost power, my moniter said no signal, and then it booted back up.

win7
msi gtx 550 ti cyclone ii oc
4 gb ram
2 150gb hdd's
amd phenom II x4 3ghz 945
2 case fans
and a dvd writer

Right, ill go not more depth with this now,
It started a week or so ago, and I have had this error twice, both at random times random days and whilst just growing the pc or idle, that was it.

The error just reboots the pc without warning, nor proper shutdown, then after it reboots, it'll tell me there was a blue screen error, I never managed to catch the error code, it hasent seemed to cause any real issues.

After this I tested my cpu in prime95, it hit 67deg c within about 5-10 minutes, without causing any issues, my gpu has been running fine. No massive lag, or artefacts, I rate test for 3 hours, 4 passes, no errors on the ram, error checked the hdds no errors, not sure how to check the mobo, but I think I found the cause.

My psu had been rattling "bubbling" extremely badly for nearly a year, and I didn't notice it was the psu until yesterday, so I went to novatech and got a loan whilst they fix it, the rattling /"bubbling" noise so far hAsent come bAck.

I put it down to the fan originally, but after looking into things slightly I found that psu'/s can cause bsod'/ and with the weird "bubbling" noise, I feel it might have been a power component not powering things well enough that caused the bsod's, can anyone lighten the situation up for me, only one thing in my system is oc'ed has been since the day I got it, and haven't had issues.

System specs are
Msi gtx 550 ti cyclone ii oc
Amd phenom ii x4 3.0ghz 945
Ram is 4gb I think gddr5 I m not sure
2 hdds 1 Ddvd r
Mobo is a a76gmv Foxconn
2 case fans
Was a 500w psu, but have been bumped to 600w whilst mine is under repair

Thanks all.

Solution

Well the report you listed says the component is AMD Northbridge, that is a part of the motherboard. If the PSU was delivering too much power and erratically it may have damaged your motherboard.

Ah, ill have to see if I get any more of these errors before I do change the mobo though, the psu was faulty since I got it, I just didnt realise until yesterday, to which I immidietly set it right, I've heard northbridge could be ram, but like I said 4 passes no errors, I'm hoping it hasent damaged my mobo, as I cannot afford another at the current time.
