A moderator suggested this build and I've done some research and feel that this build is solid. However since this is the first computer that I'll be building I would like some more opinions on this build. In terms of performance I hope to play games like Skyrim and upcoming titles (BF4). In addition, I would like to keep the price around or under $1000

Nice overall build. All high quality parts.
IMO, I would remove the SSD to fit a GTX 770 in there.

The 212 cooler is ideal for a $1,000 build as long as you don't expect Phanteks level performance. Suggest adding nonconductive washers between mounting plates and MoBo, I have done 2 MoBo replacements in last month from 212 users where tightening mountings damaged mobo.

For an extra $3.50 you could upgrade to the Asus
10% off w/ promo code EMCXNWP229, limited time offer

Ya paying $122.50 for Case and PSU....$7.50 more gets ya huge upgrade on both
$10 off w/ promo code EMCXNWP33, ends 7/22 and $45 MIR

if that's an SC series from EVGA, Id swap it for one from Gigabyte, Asus or MSI
