I have a EVGA SuperClocked w/ACX Cooling Nvidia GeForce gtx 770 2GB (02G-P4-2774-KR). I registered the product and got my free backplate for the card quickly. I need help installing it. I removed the screws and then I proceeded to remove the clear peel off the backplate. I noticed it have black square stickers and some soft gray things on it. Do I take those off as well? I have been looking at countless of YouTube videos of this and none of them explain this part...
I would upload a picture but it seems that Tom Hardware does not allow picture attachments on the forums...

It should be just metal with no plastic coating, if that's what you mean.

I removed the clear plastic cover/coating peel. I am talking about the soft gray square padding things on the other side. I saw one video on YouTube on installing it for the gtx 690 sli and the guy did not remove the gray things...I want to be extra sure and careful before I turn back on my computer...
Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

They stay on, they are contact pads to transfer heat from the PCB to the backplate.

Ok thanks! EVGA should be more explaining in their manuals becauses I have had some confusion over their products, but overall their products are awesome.

Yeah, those are thermal pads strategically positioned to make contact with your memory modules and other heat producing components.
