Weirdest thing, I have to run windows 7 in 1360x768 in windows, 1920x1080 is available and (recommended) but looks horrible when I get into a game I can change to 1920x1080 (highest available for my LG T.V.) and it is flawless perfect. When I exit the game, windows reverts back to 1360x768 and looks great, but I want the full resolution when playing blu-rays which I cannot get at 1360x768.
when I exit the program 3dmark after running it in 1920x1080 I get a flash for just a second of windows 7 in 1920x1080 and it looks just fine then reverts back to my 1360x768 desktop instantly.
Tried to adjust the resolution to 1080 from windows and catalyst control center but same results ugly undersized and grainy.
connected through DVI to HDMI and just HDMI no difference.
video card is radeon 7870 (had same problem on old 4650)
Im thinking software problem not hardware as 1920x1080 is awesome in games.
any Ideas?
Solved:adjusted to 1920x1080 through windows went into catalyst control adjusted scaling/overscan/underscan till image fit screen, then went to pixel format and adjusted 4:4:4 rgb full
