I just build a new pc and as I was waiting for windows 8 to finish downloading my pc turned to a black screen. A few minutes went by and I got a message saying "your pc has encountered a problem, we will restart for you." But when it restarted I still get the black screen. Any help please

Can you be more specific as to when the blank screen is occurring? After full post? Is there a logo or anything before it? Do you have UEFI?
