Hi, i'm going to purchase an ips 23" monitor from amazon.co.uk(can only buy on this very website) and i need feedback/opinions of which is better.
The link to the monitors :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-23EA63V-inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B00BJHBUW0/
http://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-I2369VM-inch-Monitor-50000000/dp/B00BDBWE0Y/
It will be used for gaming, watching movies, surfing the web and for a bit of photo editing.
Both are recent ah-ips budget monitors, the aoc has speakers and a displayport(plus two hdmi ports) so i'm leaning more on the AOC monitor, but LG is somewhat a better brand, so i'm a bit undecided and need feedback, suggestions of which is the better.
Also if there's a better one for about the same price, please do mention, but only from amazon uk, thanks.

Just out of preference, not specs, I love my LGs and Viewsonics.

Yes, LG is a good brand and offers good value on their monitors, viewsonics are expensive in europe/uk, the same for dell (the good ones).
AOC seems to be a decent brand though, with some recent reviews of the latest models being good ones, AOC offers more inputs and speakers, a higher dynamic contrast ratio.
The LG is a bit cheaper and is a more reputable brand, though, i don't see any review on the web of the LG model, i guess i'll flip a coin and decide.
Edit : Ordered the AOC I2369VM, after seeing that the lg has a sharpness bug and isn't good as the aoc for gaming.

I'm also thinking of getting one of these 2, but i can't make my mind up either! i like the design looks of the silver AOC better (my old dell was silver) and it seems ot have good reviews. But, might just be a feeling I'm getting here, the LG seems to have exceptional reviews for it's picture quality over the AOC.

I'm also looking at doing the same things with my monitor - largely art, design and photo editing with games on the side.
