Is there a certain motherboard I should get so it fits? It needs to be Z87.

You could fit it but you might have to mount the fans outside of the case. The motherboard you choose isn't going to make a difference.

EDIT: I misspoke. You'll need to make sure the heatsinks on your motherboard are short enough to let the fans clear. I don't have any experience with Z87 boards though.

It should fit. All the Fractal's brackets are 140mm.
What boards are you looking at? If you haven't bought the CPU yet. Check this out and if you live nearby one of these, get your CPU/MOBO combo here.

It looks like it would be ok. I'll go measure the distance from the top of my Fractal to the closest part on the MOBO.

I have seen someone from YouTube named Austin Evans who has an h100i mounted to the top of the Fractal Design Define R4. His fans are in the inside. you should have any issues with mounting it in that case from what I can tell. You can look him up if you'd like.
