Help With 3 Monitor Set Up

So I have two 4:3 17inch monitors hooked up to my PC, and for a third I was thinking a widescreen. Does anyone know which ratio/size of widescreen monitor would be as tall as my 4:3's? Preferably with the same vertical res (1280x1024).

I would look bad and seeing as 4:3 monitors are 1280x1024, 16:10 or 16:9 monitors would run something else. Not sure about Nvidia's surround, but I know eyefinity will run all the monitors at the same res. Finally, so many monitors on VGA might cause some issues. Not totally sure about this.

I don't have them all on VGA, they're using adapters, one on plain VGA, and the other on HDMI to VGA. Would you suggest me just buying a third 4:3 with an adapter, or could you recommend me a DVI-D 17" LCD monitor?

Seeing as you already have these, I'd buy a third that was similar. Good news is you can probably get cheap. I would spend the money and do it right if you can. I bought three 25"+ LCDs that are all the same for ~$100 each. Currently running my setup just fine.
