Need Help with Router Selection

I would very much appreciate help on a router. I have a HP Pavilion g7 refurb that I purchased in mid April with win 8.

Can someone please advise on a good router?
I want to be wireless & I download movies & music. I want something that will last awhile & be secure.

Wow I'm shocked for such a quick response! Thank you. It is awesome & sorry I did not mention I need something ~
$70 or less & I'm fine with certified refurb if needed. I really appreciate your help.

Thank you for such a quick response! I'm not sure if this matters as this will be me 1st router...
I have a Verizon modem Model 7500 & it's connected to a dry line... in case that makes any difference.
And I was looking at the Net Gear WNDR 3700v2 & the Linksys AE 3400 however I have no clue & also
would I need to add DD WRT? Thank you for your time!

I did get the WNDR4300...I am now trying to get it to work...LOL!

Thank you I am very much considering this router...it has great reviews, better than the other 3...& I appreciate the rebate info.
I will let you know if I choose WNDR4300.
