Hi guys, I have a simple question for you, will these gpu's(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...) be able to properly ventilate if they are stacked right on top of each-other like this :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vCrblKzKaM

My first instinct is No but I want a second opinion.

If they are the reference or the blower type card gpu like this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... Then the airflow would be decent enough as the air will be blown out of the case. But if it's the one with 2 or 3 fans in it like the custom type, I think no because there will not be enough space for them to get the air out as the air goes right out of the fans.

Now that i look at it more i think you may be incorrect, i will eventualy be ordering one of these and when i do i will look at the raised ridges on top of the case, so i do believe there actually will be room, but i will no know for sure until i receive the card for my machine.

Do you really plan to do a 3 way SLI? Other things to consider is the Airflow in the case, if you're insisting on the Custom type GPU, just make sure that you're exhaust fan can get out lot's of hot air coming from the GPU to make sure the hot air won't stay inside the case and make other components hot. That's the point I'm trying to make earlier, while in the case of Blower type GPU, the hot air won't stay inside the case as it is getting blown out of the case instead of letting it stay there inside.

My case has 2 230mm fans and one 140mm fan, i have not gotten it from ups yet but i am assuming that will me adequate. anyway, i don't plan on doing that now anyway
i will most likely do that with my next gpu upgrade. And now that i think about it those fans are blowing up into the card and outside of the case.
