Hi,
I have a pretty old TV card, not sure what it is, but from the device manager I see 4 devices:
- Winfast TV2000 XP WDM Audio Capture
- Winfast TV2000 XP WDM Crossbar
- Winfast TV2000 XP WDM TVTuner
- Winfast TV2000 XP WDM Video Capture

I currently have Windows XP and want to upgrade to 7 or 8, but I want to make sure there are working drivers for this card. I searched in Leadtek main website but only found for XP and Vista.
This is the page I saw:
http://www.leadtek.com/eng/support/download.aspx#id=driver

(Not sure what the model name is... chose Winfast PVR2000).

So, can anyone tell me if my card has the right drivers for Win 7/8?

Thank you.

Oh, sorry. I googled the model number and came up with this: http://www.leadtek.com/eng/product/6/169/intro.aspx#pitem=driver

I noticed you linked something from that website also and just assumed it was the same link.

I don't know if the WDM at the end makes any difference, googled it with it and wasn't able to find anything concrete.

You might try uninstalling the driver you have now and install that one to make sure its the proper one.

I uninstalled all of the 4 drivers I mentioned and installed what you gave me, it doesn't work. Now I have a driver by the name "Multimedia video controller" with a Yellow exclamation mark on it, so I guess it's not the right driver.
Any other suggestions what it could be?

Update: I reinstalled the driver from a zip file that I found using the program Driver Identifier, and there it said the driver I have does support Win 7, but I will still be more calm if I get an "official" confirmation from Leadtek, or from someone who has the same driver I have.

Wow it did took me a while to find it (Devices - Device resources), but unfortunately it still says Winfast TV2000 XP WDM (audio/video capture).
I'll guess I'll just take the chance lol, also because Windows 7 upgrade advisor says the card is supported in Win7 as well (it says "Check Windows Update after installing Windows 7 to make sure you have the latest driver for this device, otherwise it may not work."). I still wanted some kind of confirmation though.

Unless you got another idea, thank you very much for your help, appreciate it.

Trust me, I wanted to cry too when I spent days(!) searching for proof that that card would work on Win7. I somewhat think the same as you about the windows generic drivers but It's a risk I'll have to take, I'm sick of XP, having games not support it anymore, how slow it is (though I don't know if Win7 will help with that), and etc.
