I know "bare" means it doesn't come with cords, etc. But in the picture it looks like the internal drive and writing arm are exposed. Is that normal? Do you have to buy a separate case? I am just trying to get regular hard drives for my desktop build. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005T3GRNW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148834
are the drives I am trying to buy.

Please help. Last thing and then I will order these tonight! Thanks.

You won't be able to see the platters or head. They just show you what is inside as a novelty. The drive won't work unless it is sealed up, and Newegg won't intentionally sell you a non-working drive.

These drives are normal drives for a system builder such as yourself.
