is 400w power supply enough to run this Corsair XMS3 CMX8GX3M1A1600C11 8GB (1 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory and MSI X79A-GD45 Intel X79 Chipset ATX Motherboard and Intel Socket 2011 i7-3820 3.6GHz Processor

Solution
think a 400W psu might be pushing it. i normally say 500W minimum.
try checking out a PSU Calc to work out what you really need the add an extra 100W to it for future proofing :)

Hi

If you are only using the integrated Intel graphics chip then 400 watts is usually enough
(unless very old or poor design PSU).

Adding a high performance graphics card with a PCI-e 6 or 8 pin connector will need more than 400W

does the motherboard have a ATX 12V 4 pin or 8 pin connector ? what about the PSU
