My friend took his PC to bestbuy and they told him it was the motherboard. The PC will not boot at all, green light is on power supply. He told me they tested the PSU and it was good. So he bought a motherboard and I replaced it for him. I still cannot get the PC to budge. Could it possibly be the power switch (Its all I can think of at the moment) ... How can I test the power switch to see if its faulty?

Make sure the power switch plug is on the pins correctly in the mobo (1 wire is hot, the other is ground), if no joy, take a flat bladed small screwdriver and short the two mobo PWR-Button pins, if it starts then the case switch is bad....if still problems bnch the guts and troubleshoot, have a guide I wrote here:
