I have got http://www.eng.defender-global.com/products/mouse/game/warhead-gm-1110/
, which is specified to have Report rate: 125 Hz. Can it be increased?

update Ok, I have got no response from defender hotline, http://www.eng.defender-global.com/support/hotline/ so, I decided to unpack and try it. The http://www.ngohq.com/news/15043-how-to-increase-usb-sample-rate-in-windows-vista-7-a.html solution works. I am getting 500 Hz reports, 4x125 Hz. I am still not sure that these reports do report the new data every report rather than the same report repeated 4 times.

Solution
I'm not sure if that will work for you. The problem is that your mouse probably cant go any higher. If that program doesnt work, there is nothing you can do about it. I got a 1000MHz mouse and I could change the rate in the driver software that came with it. But yours can only do 125MHz. For gaming its really a good idea to have 500-1000MHz. You can get the mouse I did, its reasonably priced:

The G400s just came out which is why the G400 is so expensive, you could get the G500 for cheaper right now.

Do you mean that problem is not the Windows defualt but mouse itself and ngohq will not work? That site says that 125 Hz is rediculous for modern games. Are you sure that mouse, marketed as gaming and adjustable, has such low rate hardwired?

Wow, 1 GHz mouse! That is really great! I wonder how you processor manages to handle a mouse request every 4 clocks (or, how fast your CPU is?).

I do not want to unpack my mouse if that solution won't work. I am going to replace it.

Yeah I definitely like the mouse. Glad to be of help! If you dont mind picking me as the "best solution" it would be much appreciated.
Good thing you didnt unpack the mouse yet.

I have a 8350 at 4.5 GHz. Probably helps to have 8 cores :p

But, you are not sure what does that specification mean? Don't you?

That is not a best answer definitely. Let aside the fact that I was asking about 125 Hz specification for defender mouse. Are you sure that it is hardwired?
