Is the gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 a good board?

Solution
It is enough for a Phenom II/Athlon CPU.

If the PSU is above 400W everything is gonna be fine. But imo a HD 7790 may be a little more expensive according to the performance. I would go HD 7850/HD 7870 or GTX 650 ti (boost)/GTX 660 (If 7870 make sure your PSU has TWO 6-pin power conductors) instead.

I think that the 7850 is a little too expensive for me, how about 650 ti non boost?

Unfortunately this mobo supports only Phenom II/Athlon II CPUs. U should look for mobos whose chipset is 970(budget)/990X(better)/990FX(enthusiast):http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/FX-8350_Piledriver_Review/2.html

And there are some 760G/780G mobos who claim support 95W/125W FX-4xxx/FX-6xxx/FX-8xxx CPUs but these chipset are too old and won't be pair well with FX- CPUs.

Phenom II is aging but still powerful. Good overclocking can maximize its performance (but also need good CPU cooler to cooperate)

Alright, I guess that this mobo is out of the equation. Is asrock 970de3/u3s3 good?
