Will SWAT 4 LAN work with hamachi?

Basically me and my friend want to play SWAT 4, we haven't played it in maybe 5 years so we thought it would be fun to play it again, and it seems like the servers are down now, so I was wondering if it would work with lan if we are both on hamachi? Because the way I think that hamachi works is that it basically makes you able to lan even though you aren't next to each other, so I would like to know, I LOVE tactical co-op, and SWAT 4 seems to be the only co-op game we both own on PC.

yes Hamachi should let you do that. In basic terms the VPN creates a separate LAN network that any configured PC can connect to. as long as you and your friend are on the same Hamachi network the PCs will see each other. it's only a software link but it tricks the PCs into thinking they're on the same LAN network.
