Okay so recently my video card fried and I temp replaced it with a 650 but I kind of want to upgrade, but when I start looking into a full rig re-haul I hit up to $1200+. So I'm going to post my specs here and I'm just curious of a couple things.

I'm using a 3570K(I5 obv) 650 Ti. 8GB 1600RAM (2x4). I don't -quite- remember the mobo but I will be upgrading it if I go SLI as it has only 1 PCI 3.0 slot (When my video card fried it took my original Mobo with it. an ASRock Extreme 4 Pro)

Originally I was going to go a 780 (3GB model it seemed) and that was it, but I'm curious if 2 3GB (Is there a 4GB model yet?) 770s instead. I run 2 monitors, possibly 3 (I do a lot of work at home, only really use 2 for gaming.)

I'm curious if you think I should just get a 780 and hold off everything else for awhile, or if I should replace the mobo and get dual 770s? The price for the second option is obviously higher.

Also, if I get a new mobo I will probably go ahead and step up to an i7 Haswell (I do a lot of video editing and streaming, so been kinda wanting a better CPU anyway).

I appreciate any partial or complete answers y'all have. Thanks.

(P.S. If I do go single 780 I will eventually upgrade everything else much further down the line as well, and go SLI-780.)

EDIT: Let me ask this in another way as well.

Money to power - Would I be better off getting one single 770 for now, and upgrading my 3570K to a 3770K? And then later on just adding in another 770? Gaming wise my FPS is capped due to card but CPU isn't touched. Streaming/Editing wise my CPU bottle necks me quite a bit, so when all is said and done, I will def be going into i7. However, I don't think the Haswell backs it up enough just yet.

For $650 I can get a good 770, and a 3770K. Or for $650 I can get just a 780.

I'd get the 4770k and a Haswell MoBo w/ 1 770 today and the 2nd when ya get the cashola..... look what just happened to you ..... if it happens again , you can't just relace the MoBo.... you'd need a MoBo / CPU combo

A replacement MoBo ($130), 3770k ($320) and 780 ($650)would cost ya $1100

This saves $190

MoBo - $510 - MSI Z87 GD65 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1385942
CPU - Included - Intel Core i5-4770k
GFX - $400 - Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125463

Bah....just checked, newegg ended the Promo........
