M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 for Bulldozer

Will a FX 8150 processor work and overclock fine (to about 4.8GHz) on a M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 motherboard? In case you need it, here are the rest of the specs for my machine:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
4 Corsair XMS3 1600MHz sticks, 2GB each
Corsair A70 CPU cooler
MSI GTX 570 TF III
I'm currently running a Phenom II X4 965 @ stock on this setup.

wouldnt not even bother. a 965 performs better in the first place. if you want a legitmate upgrade, get a 8320 and a better CPU cooler

A H100i costs the same as a FX 8150 where I live, I don't really see a point on buying one, and as far as I know it won't even fit in my case. Any smaller and cheaper watercooler is actually beaten by the A70, so yeah, don't think it's the best of the ideas.
I think I might just spend some more and go with a used i5 2500K and some cheap p67 or z68 motherboard. How much should I be able to overclock that processor using the A70 and the Asus P8Z68-V LX motherboard?

i wasnt talking about watercoolers. except for the h220 and h320, they all suck for the money

the a70 is like a hyper 212 evo. generally on a 2500k, you can reach 4.5ghz most of the time without overheating

you will want something like a z77-v LK. the z77 boards are slightly better

The FX-8150 has limited Beta support on the M4A89TD PRO/USB3 motherboard. It runs fine but, no overclocking. This is the norm for the Beta BIOS.

This user sums it up, " running FX8150 (8 core) 3.6 quite succesfully with the beta bios. I can't overclock (anything) or run my 1600 memory (certified) at anything but the SPD (1333) and hardware monitors fail to work."

Some friend offered me a kit that's just a bit out of my budget, a 3570k and the Asrock Pro 3 motherboard. How much should I be able to overclock it with the A70?
[EDITED] I just got offered a 2500k and the Asus P8Z68-V Pro for a bit cheaper than the 3570k and the Asrock Pro 3. The difference would alllow me to get some better RAM sticks. Is it worth it?

Ok guys, I decided I'll just sell my PC as it is right now and buy an Xbox 360 and then save up for the PS4, I simply can't afford what I want right now, so yeah.

I was offered a Gigabyte GA Z68X UD3 B3 for super cheap (almost 2 years of use though), but it should get me to at least 4.5GHz so I guess I'll be getting that. I've never overclocked my RAM, but I wish I could get some better latencies out of it. Mine's a Corsair XMS3 Platinum 1600MHz 9-9-9-24. Can I get 8-8-8-24 or will I fry them since they use low profile heatsinks?

I know the chip is a quality one (It says ver2.34 , that means it's an Elpida chip), but I'm not quite sure about the heat..

if you can actually reach 1600mhz cl8-8-8-24 at 1.5v go ahead. if they run at 1.65v, it breaks the intel warranty

What do you mean? They run at 1.65v with stock settings... Also, I don't even think that processor still has any warranty, it's a OEM one...

either way, 1.65v ram is bad for intel CPUs. they are not supposed to run anywhere over 1.57v as their memory controllers tend to be more sensitive. if it must be that you have to run it at 1.65v, let it be.
