Hello Chaps!
I'm currently having screen tearing (a line which has the above and below images on screen not lining up, moving up the screen as I make horizontal movements) in all the games i've tried (so far Dishonored & Chivalry: Medieval Warfare). It is really unpleasant. It started as soon as I got this new monitor today, it is a 120Hx Samsung monitor, and my PC is as follows:
INTEL CORE I5-3570 3.4GHZ BOX SOCKET 1155
ASUS P8Z77-V LK
COOLER MASTER HYPER 412S CPU COOLER
G.SKILL RIPJAWS X DDR3 1866 PC3-14900 16GB 2X8GB CL9
2X WD CAVIAR BLUE 1TB SATA 3
AEROCOO STRIKE-X GT DEVIL RED
AEROCOOL STRIKE-X POWER 600W
ASUS GEFORCE GTX 680 DIRECTCU 2 2GB GDDR5
CREATIVE SOUND BLASTER Z PCIe GAMING SOUND CARD
LITEON IHBS112 GRABADORA BLU-RAY / DVD OEM
TP-LINK TLWN951N 300MBPS 11N WIRELESS PCI ATHEROS
MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM 64BITS OEM SERVICE PACK 1 (ENGLISH)
AVERMEDIA LIVE GAMER HD CAPTURE CARD
I have tried using v-sync to no avail, I ave also tried using a program that forces triple buffering, again there is no change.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
**UPDATE**
I have found that disconnecting my graphics card from my capture card fixes this, but if anyone knows how to stop the tears without disconnecting them, that would be fantastic!
I'm currently just using an HDMI cable to link the graphics card to the capture card, and i'd quite like this to be fixed, because otherwise there is no reason for me to have gotten the card, or the new monitor!
