had problems with this CPU since the day i put it in. mainly heat on one core was always above 43 no matter what i did. while the rest are at high 20's to low 30's at idle. well ive been playing lots of games and i ve noticed that whenever any big battles happpen it starts to lag. my GPU monitoring says its only at 30-40% load so i know that isn't the problem. i checked task manager and it shows that my CPU is peaking, completely maxed out. Why???? the game isn't even very demanding? ive tried this on skyrim and star craft 2 big battles in both games do the same thing.
i was also playing around with task manager to see if i could do anything. i was just resizing a internet window and one core went up about half way just from resizing a window. is this a faulty CPU or what? i am a big graphic mod user on skyrim and my gpu isn't holding it back but something is.
what do i do to fix this? or to find the cause of the problem?
here is a screenshot of task manager when resizing the window

You must know that skyrim and starcraft is not a well coded game. I believe it only support single or dual core processing so if your CPU is peaking with the 780 on your system doing good, I think it is acceptable. How does other modern games do? Try Crysis or BF3?

just tested again. something is up i think. the CPU chart shows spikes of cpu load whenever i do anything simple like just opening a program! like up to 40% load from opening one firefox page. is this normal or am i just overreacting? someone help
thanks

oh skyrim does only support 2 cores max just checked. so thats why its peaking. and yeah cpu peaks but gpu doesn't get even go half most of the time. but i still dont understand why it is maxing with big battles when other ppl with weaker systems can handle it :\

i don't have BF3 or crysis.
on other game slike planetside 2 though, star wars teh old republic etc... i can max out no probably and never lag at all
