Upgrading Graphics Card will i need to upgrade my psu?

Hi tomshardware.
This is my first post on the forums.
I want to upgrade my graphics card but im not sure if the psu will be alright. My computer currently has a 500w PSU with no 6 pin as standard. My current graphics card is a amd radeon hd 6450.
I want to upgrade to a geforce gtx 660.
Please help me guys!

    Do yourself a favor and get a corsair CX500 first. That PSU can't out put even 350w if there's no 6 pin connector on it.
  2. It depends on the make and model of the power supply, but if it doesn't have any pci-e power connectors you will probably need to upgrade.

    So i would need to upgrade to that psu and then i would be alright to upgrade to that graphics card? Does that psu have a 6 pin?

    The CX500 is about the best low cost 500w unit you can get(baring sales on other units) and it has 2 pci-e 6 power connectors. For a little bit more you can get a 550w XFX which is a better unit and has 2 pci-e power connectors.

  5. I dont really have a very big budget but I suppose it was also give me some room to be able to OC my GPU aswell I wish I had a better Motherboard but the decent one's are expensive
