Motherboard Choice for an i7 4770k

Solution

Since you have a severe brand bias... The ASUS Z87-PLUS also supports SLI, provides ample overclocking capabilities, and also save you $$.

If you are hell bent on paying more for no real benfit, pickup the ASUS Z87-WS. At least it offers quad-SLI support.

ROG or not, it still only supports x8/x8 configuration which is supported on almost every Z87 board. Also, the overclock capacity on cheaper entry level boards is within a few % of a premium board. Is there any specific reason why you picked these two board?

I trust Asus quality, the design fits my setup, i know im paying more for boards, but if im throwing 350 at a cpu, i want a decent home for it to be inside, Its just how my mind works things out, Lol :3

I currently have the ASRock Z87 Extreme6 (I got it for a great price) with a 4770K and would recommend the board :)
