Hi, this is my first post on the forums and im excited to be a member here :) . So recently I have been having sound problems with some of my games. Certain games lack any kind of sound at all. Here are the games i get no sound from: Witcher 2, Just cause 2, and Deus ex Human Revolution. All these games have no sound... I know this can't be a hardware problem because I can play music from my computer normally.

Any help is really appreciated guys :) i would love for this problem to be fixed!
THANKS!

Solution
Tackle it from device manager. See if there are any ? q marks against any hardware. Other than that this one isnt going to be solved 'Hands Off' because its too unusual. You should make yourself an easy out by buying a sound card or similar solution.

Also, When I right click sounds and go to the recording or playback tab I get No audio devices installed, and same goes with the Realtek HD Manager, when I open dxdiag it says Error:problem getting sound info. There are also like 17 sound tabs on dxdiag! PLEASE HELP.

If I remember right there are some hidden audio options on realtek onboard, and it meant bioshock lost sound after the plane crash entry cutscene so check online . Sorry I cant help more, someone else might remember.

nope, didn't work. So i decided to go on control panel and click on "sound". It says "no audio devices are installed" even though I get sound perfectly from other things except games.... hmmm
