I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 about two weeks ago and I started hearing clicking noises. I restarted and ran the CheckDisk and it stopped. Should I be worried about a hard drive failure in the future.
In Properties, it says the hard drive is a Hitachi.
if you ever think you go hdd problem backup your data. if you unable to run a full check disk then you most likely have a faulty hdd. i would take it back and get it swapped out or take it somewhere to have the hdd tested.
i live in the uk so not sure what your rights are where you live. but i would take the laptop in it's box with all the packing (if you still have it) and go back to best buy and see if they will swap it out for another one.
if you can't take it back to best buy then give dell a call and get a RMA on your laptop.
