I tried using bandicam and camtasia for recording minecraft. I can play minecraft without recording and get a constant 60 fps. Once I start recording it drops to like 20-30 fps. Also, after I tried recording, the HUD, mobs and menu start flashing even when the recording programs aren't open, which didn't happen before I tried recording. I can record dead island riptide with about 50 fps.
I looked at task manager while recording minecraft.
11% CPU usage
20% RAM usage
3% Disk usage
Here are my computer specs.
Windows 8
Intel Core i7-3630QM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M 2GB
12 GB DDR3 1600 RAM
2 x 750 GB 7200 RPM HDD (no RAID setup or anything)
Why does it lag so much?
