Powercolor HD7870 myst edition (tahiti le)

I want to upgrade my GT 240 to a Powercolor 7870 myst.edition, which uses PCIe 3.0 , but my motherboard is Asrock i7 H55DE3 and supports only PCIe 2.0 slot. Will it work ?

Yes, that will be fine. PCIe 3.0 is backwards compatible. Happy gaming!
