Ram upgrade problem

I just upgraded my ram, I have windows 8 64-bit everything works fine until I go into the login screen and my display glitches out. Please help. I'm using a cq-58 bf9wn laptop by the way. I can access the bios and it shows the upgraded amount of ram but when it tries to go to the login screen the display is like a rainbow

I tried to reset the bios in the bios settings but I didn't see an option to

Should be an option in the BIOS for factory or best default settings

Now it says boot device not found?

You're in the BIOS, find the boot order and make sure your hard drive is in as selection 1

If the BIOS doesn't see any HDs, check both the power and data cables to the drive and make sure secure, same with data cable to mobo...
