I was wondering, will a 8gb kit (2x4gb) of corsair vengeance clocked at 2333Mhz work at its maximum clock speed on a MoBo that supports 1600Mhz on its specifications? Or at least will it work with the 1600Mhz clock speed? Or won't it even work?
DepEnds on the motherboard and CPU combo. The newer ib and haswell chips it will run with xmp profile turned on. On some of the newer amd mb it should run with the right settings in the bios.
