Safe to try games with the stock fan?

Hey guys,

I am still handling the software side of my first rig at the moment, but I am anxious to test out the graphics and was wondering:

Even though I'm using the stock CPU fan at the moment (which I plan to replace if needed) would it be safe to try out some games? Could it hurt my rig long-term, or just slow things down at the worst?

Thanks guys!

Yes it should. As long as your ambient temp isn't extremely high and you don't overclock, the stock cooler should be able to handle anything you do. Temps may be a bit high, but the stock cooler is meant to prevent the cpu from overheating at stock speeds no matter what you do.

Worse comes to worse, your cpu overheats and your pc shuts itself down to prevent damage.
