Ok, I have comcast internet, 55mbps down 11mbps up. connected to the modem direct via ethernet cable.

I have a custom built pc for gaming

My PC Specs

CPU AMD FX-6300 3.5 Ghz 6 Core
GPU XFX 7870 Radeon Double D 2gb
PSU XFX Pro 750Watt
MB BioStar A960G+
8GB DD3 Ram
1TB Sata Hard Drive
Thermaltake Case
OS Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)
Acer 23" Widescreen Flat Panel LED HD Monitor
Razer Tiamat 2.2 Gaming Headset
Razer Taipan Gaming Mouse
Razer Anansi MMO Gaming Keyboard

I play Dayz*6 to 26 fps
GTA4 12 to 25 fps
Arma 3 4 to 24 fps
Warz*ISS* 11 to 35

COD BO 2*I can actually maintain 60 + FPS

Planetside 2 I range 12 to 45 fps
Battlefield 3 25 to 55 fps

Most games that should run without issues*like GTA4 online run like a utter crap. I pick servers with low ping, doesnt matter, I am not overclocking anything due to the motherboard not being the best to support it. Any other programs that dont directly tie into gaming, Visual basics, adobe, porn, etc, all run on a different pc, that i connect online when I need to. My gaming pc is for games only. So why does it perform so horrid? help? Thanks

Also, on games like warz*ISS* and dayz, I've tried reducing everything possible, same on GTA4 when online, runs poor for fps

I also do not have any overheating issues, the pc runs fine, just fps sucks

well i cant bluntly say automatically that:

GTA4, Planetside 2 and Arma2/DayZ are known to be EXTREMELY bad at hardware optimization. It is not only your computer that does bad in these games, its everyone regardless of hardware.

for explaination:

GTA4 was a half-baked console port to pc. rockstar doesnt really care about the pc enviroment as much, which is why they are now hiring programmers for the PC port of GTA5, because they know that GTA4 sucked on pc. IIRC, the game is so badly coded that its purely single threaded and in some cases, you have to manually set the affinity to 1 cpu core to run the game in rare cases.

Planetside 2 is still a moderately new game, it never bothered to work well on the processing side of the game...

Arma2 was plagued so hard that a 680 used to perform no better than the lower and gpus. the game didn't even bother with a proper SLI profile that single cards performance was actually better than dual cards. as for ISS, i dont know much, but I do know that the company made a pretty half baked game and tried to ride off the fame of DayZ to sell, despite that it has no relation to the Arma2 mod at all.

I wish it ran like that in Multi player. Guess Ill try some other games and test around. Also the GPU temp clocked at 54c or 57 C after 20 minutes. Idling at 33 to 38 c depending on how high I crank my AC lol Anyway thanks, happy to know its not my pc giving up

Try reducing the distance view. Seems to help ALOT. Also I run it at 1920 x 1080 on medium when I stream or record, high if not recording
