Help on a gaming computer build $1500-$2000

Well this is gonna be my first build. I want it to last for a while. And also sorry for the very long read xD

Approximate Purchase Date: 1 week- 1 month, trying to get it all as fast as possible

Budget Range: total build without a monitor I'm will to spend $1500- 1800

System Usage: mostly going to be used for gaming, photo editing, video editing, online surfing, watch videos, listen to music

Are you buying a monitor: Yes, not gonna include it here.



Parts to Upgrade: pretty much everything xD

Computer case, mobo, CPU, gpu, liquid cooling system, psu, ssd, hdd, cd drive, and whatever I've must've forgotten.

Do you need to buy OS: No, I have one.

Preferred Website: newegg.com would like to get it all in once place if possible.

Location: New York City, NY, US

Parts Preferences: I would like to use an intel i7 3770k CPU and build off of that.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: maybe in the near future if I need it.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200 is the monitor resolution I want to use.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: no longer have a computer so I've decided to build one for my gaming needs. There are a few things I am not sure about and here it goes.

Not sure if the power supply I choose is enough for my system.

Not sure if everything will work together.

Not sure if the cooling system will cool the gpu and the CPU, also not sure if I have to buy fans.

Also not sure if I'm missing anything don't want everything to come in and I don't have certain things xD any help with be takin with open arms.

What's the difference between tlc and mlc ssd drives?
In the list you gave me, you didn't add liquid cooling is it not needed, even though I plan to overclock my system?
Lol and yea I really want that case, saw it months ago, and I said yea when I build my rig, that's what's gonna hold it xD

Just looked over the list you gave me again and I saw the mobo you added was a lga 1150, I thought the i7 3770k could only be run on a lga 1155?

If you plan to go water cooling ,ake custom loop. Those ready use water coolers are not much better than good air coolers. Pumps are not really good and they usually go broken really soon. I did put 1150 mobo for 4770k cpu. Why do you think old 3770k is better? MLC is better it can handle many times more writing in than that TLC chip SSD.

Yea that's a bit out of my budget for now. Ima stick with the one I'm getting. Hopefully in a month or so, I'll have enough saved up to do a full open loop system.

Btw what else would I need to put the system together. I know I need thermal paste. Anything else?

Nothing coming in my mind now. I do not know that case so if there is enough fans you do not need anything else.
You have enough sata cables, they do come with mobo (4?) so maybe you really do not need anything :)

Ah ok awesome, hopefully I get to order the parts soon. Once I put it together, I'll upload some pics. Hopefully it comes out good.
