Is this integrated GPU coming out in any desktop models or is all notebooks pads, and does anyone when it will be released? In the intel HD 4000 looks like a waste on a desktop.

no one knows when it will be released. it might be longer than you expect because the 5th gen intel cpus (broadwell) might only improve performance rather than graphics.
