I have this card at the moment and it is becoming incredibly loud, I have cleaned it and got rid of all the dust and my case is open at the side however when i play wow it reaches around 85 degrees and bf3 the high 90s not only that but the sound that it gives off is so loud because of the fan speed!
The card is not under warranty so i cannot return it and ask for another one:(
can someone please recommend a cooler that will work for this card?
thanks:)

If that is the Sonic model I only found one cooler that would seem to fit it and it's a closed loop WC unit.

Not if the card is a Palit Sonic (which it looks like it is) as that card has a custom PCB.

ah:/ try this one http://www.palit.biz/product/vga/picture/p01486/m_p0148...

I couldn't find an air cooler that would fit so I had to get an Accelero Hybrid and modify the shroud to make it fit.

No because it's a custom PCB, the distance between the GPU and the DVI/VGA/HDMI ports is less than on a reference PCB and so pretty much all the air coolers on the market will not fit because they are based on the reference design.
