Hardware problems related to RAM/Graphic card

My Hardware configuration is Dual core CPU,2 Gb RAM,1 Gb ATI Graphic card,no sound card.

If I play games like Mafia 2, which require minimum of Core 2 Quad CPU,will it affect my motherboard and its components.I mean like will it burn my RAM and its slot or any other parts.


Please reply.

Your CPU, RAM and GPU will be substantially hot but there shouldn't be any physical damage to your components. Make sure to keep your PC cool by adding more cooling fans, closing all necessary programs whilst playing games to free up CPU usage and if you have a room fan point it at the front of your PC so the intake fans can suck the cool air in through the system.

Remember all though you need RAM to play games, your CPU and GPU are the main two components used to process and display the game.

install a temperature sensor program such as HWMonitor or SpeedFan to see the temperatures of each indivudal component when idling or in-game.
