This will be my first custom build. I watched a friend of mine build his custom rig and figured it’s about time to upgrade from a pre-built. I’ll post his Rig down bottom.
Approximate Purchase Date: 2-6 weeks

Budget Range: $1000-$2000 ( Before Shipping/tax )

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies, running a website.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: All

Do you need to buy OS: Yes (OEM only 64-bit)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg and Amazon. Will consider others only if they are reputable and save some money.

Location: Maine, USA

Parts Preferences: Either

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 23” 1080p

Additional Comments: ATX Full or Mid Tower. Good air flow, no water-cooling. If possible post a AMD only build & Intel only build. Cooler Master, Antec , Rosewill, Thermaltake brands for cases.
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/josh21/saved/1ZZz - It’s an awesome looking rig but little over budget and fancyish looking.

If there is anything I missed let me know.

That is a great build but take out the second graphics card it's a bit overkill. Save yourself some money and a few years from now why that isn't enough buy the second one and it should keep you going for a long time. Other than that it's a quality build.
