Adaptive mode, voltage goes over?

I currently use adaptive mode and i've set the turbo mode (which I believe is the max, there is no other option) to 1,1 voltz and the same for the cache/ring ratio. And and offset of the lowest possible 0.001, and in windows in both hwmonitor and cpu-z it goes over up to 1.168-69, which is 68 over what i've set it to. I have an Asus Gryphon z87 motherboard, and an I7 4770K cpu at 4 ghz. Also I did test this with manual mode and it was stuck there at only 1,1 volts when doing a stability test with aida64 as i recall.

Adaptive mode chooses the voltage for itself, The value you enter is only used for the manual setting I believe. Adaptive mode is just one of those things you forget the board has and run it in manual.
