Hi guys, need your help, again...

So my little cousin has a really old computer, here are the specs:

Athlon XP 1.5Gz

256Mb DDR Memory

Nvidia mx440 64Mb (probabily 8x AGP)

55GB IDE HDD

The computer was relatively fast, until a 256Mb memory decided to die... Now the computer only has 256Mb of RAM.

I want to reinstall windows, but I don't know if I should install Windows XP or Windows 2000... To get better performance.

He uses the computer mostly for old games (the computer can handle Need for Speed Most Wanted, the old one ofcourse, and The sims 2, worms, etc...) and emulators.

(Also, I don't know if this is in the wrong section of the forum.)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks! But I cannot find old RAM like this in my country, and, the computer works quite well only on 256Mb of RAM, but sometimes, it gets really slow doing basic stuff, like going to the internet, on windows xp, I want to know if on windows 2000 it would be better, or just stick with XP.
