Alright, so i'm having the toughest decision in the world right now and i have no idea why. I cant decide whether to build my own system or purchase one. Both has advantages and disadvantages, so please.. HELP ME DECIDE!

already built: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/sys/3873738223.html

if i were to build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Inori/saved/20hm

*note that both cost around the same price, the one on craigslist is $1300 even though it says $1500, he accepted $1300, and my build would be around $1350)

-upgraded CPU cooler is necessary for overclocking haswell
-just as good of a board for much cheaper
-stock paste is better than silver 5
-double the SSD capacity. if you want to make it cheaper, get the 128gb model
-better case
-better psu. its modular which makes it easier to manage the cables and its more efficient and quiet. with the tx850, you get massive ball of wires at the bottom of your case that you have to hide
Build your own. It has better performance. Here's the difference:
Build - Vs - Buy
Newer processor vs older processor
Stronger gpu vs weaker gpu
Less SSD storage vs More SSD storage

Those are the main differences, so you'll be getting better performance as the cost of SSD space. But a 128gb SSD should be fine if you use it wisely.

I definitely agree that you should build. You'll get a better computer for a better price.

PCPartPicker says that your estimated wattage is 438, so I wouldn't go higher than 650W. Anything more is overkill. As far as motherboards, well, yes, but that's because ASUS is known for having higher-end boards than Gigabyte.

higher wattage is because i'd like the option to sli and the corsair 850 power supply is actually cheaper than the 750 right now. Oh, and so should i go with the Asus or the Gigabyte Motherboard?

Looking at the boards, I'd recommend the Gigabyte board because it looks like that one has more PCI-e bandwith available.

If you're not planning on overclocking beyond 4.5GHz, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO should do the job; it's a good, popular HSF for only $25. If you're looking to OC beyond that, I'd recommend investing in water cooling.

I personally prefer the 500R. However, since there is really no big difference between them as far as chassis features or performance goes, it's ultimately up to your preference.

thats the problem, haha i can't decide. i find the corsair to be more practical but i like the look of the phantom more. Oh, quick side note: cooler master 212 evo or cooler master v6 gt

*also.. im in love w/ the switch 810 but can't afford it :/*

go look in my build. everything i put in there is what i recommend
